A left-handed pitcher from Milwaukee, Eric Torres gets the benefit of pitching close to home with the Lake Country DockHounds. A strong showing at Hamilton High School landed Torres at Kansas State University where Torres excelled at striking out batters. 58 strikeouts in 39.1 innings his junior season netted Torres a ninth-round selection the infamous 2021 draft to the Los Angeles Angels.
Torres immediately joined the pro ranks following the draft, being placed at high-A Tri-City where he made eight appearances. Los Angeles showed plenty of faith in Torres, promoting him to double-A to start 2022, and Torres performed very well by posting a 1.59 ERA in 42 appearances.
2023 began at double-A Rocket City again, but Torres got to the doorstep at triple-A in May but quickly went on the injured list. Missing nearly a month, Torres returned but could not find his form and threw to a 9.62 ERA.
For the third consecutive season, Torres opened with the Trash Pandas and pitched well in double-A. Like the prior season, Torres struggled following the promotion to Salt Lake, allowing five runs in his return before finishing the campaign strong. During the 2025 spring training, Torres was released by the Angels but snatched by Lake Country to be a strong arm out of the bullpen.
