Lamar Briggs

“This is a huge opportunity for me and I’m excited to show the DockHounds fans what I can do on the field. The league is competitive and that’s what I thrive on – competing at a high level and continuing to push myself to new levels. I’m thankful to the manager and the whole DockHounds organization for believing in me allowing me to be a part of what is sure to be an exciting season.”

A product of Charlotte, North Carolina, Briggs is a 25-year-old who primarily plays third base but can also play other positions. Briggs played his collegiate ball for Jackson State University before joining the Mammoths in the USPBL.

In his MVP season with the Mammoths,  Briggs had a league-best .359 batting average and a .980 OPS. Briggs was a mid-season all-star and in addition to being a threat at the plate, Briggs proved to be dangerous on the basepaths stealing 12 bases in just 36 games.
