Logan Berrier is a rookie right-handed-pitcher from North Las Vegas with experience in both the Northwoods League and the MLB Draft League. He signed with DI Longwood University in the Big South Conference out of high school.
A reliever-turned-starter in college, the COVID-19 pandemic cut his freshman year with the Lancers short after just seven and two-thirds innings in seven games but he still totaled 139.1 innings in four years in Virginia, logging four wins in 58 appearances with 142 strikeouts as an undergrad. His senior year, he notched 11 starts with a 9.1 K/9 rate over 56.2 innings.
In the summer of 2022, he played for the Green Bay Rockers, appearing in nine games amd registering a 3.56 ERA.
With the NCAA’s additional year of eligibility due to the pandemic, he transferred to the Big Ten in 2024, winning seven games back out of the bullpen for the Maryland Terrapins with a 2.81 ERA where he didn’t allow a home run in 41.2 innings and was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
After Maryland, he pitched in 15 games out of the bullpen for the Williamsport Crosscutters in the MLB Draft League, toting a 3.20 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 19.2 innings.
Now, he begins his professional baseball journey with the Dockhounds.
