WISCONSIN DIVE BARS

Our New Alternate Team Name For 2026

Wisconsin Dive Bars Wordmark Logo

In Wisconsin, dive bars aren’t just places you stop for a drink — they’re part of who we are. They’re where stories get told, friendships are made, pull tabs are pulled, and neon lights glow a little brighter after a long day. From small-town corners to lake country staples, dive bars have helped shape the culture that makes our state one-of-a-kind.

That’s why on July 7-9, the Lake Country DockHounds are proudly embracing a brand-new alternate team identity: The Wisconsin Dive Bars.

This fun and uniquely Wisconsin rebrand celebrates the charm, character, and community spirit of the local bars that have become legendary across the state. The kind of places with low ceilings, well-worn bar stools, friendly bartenders who know your order, and a fridge stocked with classic Wisconsin favorites like Pabst Blue Ribbon and Schlitz.

Most importantly, this alternate identity is a celebration of the local establishments that have long served as gathering places for communities across Wisconsin. The neighborhood bars that sponsor teams, host watch parties, support charities, and give friends and families a place to come together year-round.

INTRODUCING BART TABS

Bart Tabs — Icon of the Wisconsin Dive Bars

Legend has it Bart Tabs was born on a barstool somewhere between a Friday fish fry and a big game on the TV in Lake Country. Built from a lucky dice cup, fueled by pull tabs, and always keeping one eye on the scoreboard, Bart became a local legend by “running the longest tab in the state” while never missing a pitch on screen. Whether he’s posted up at the end of the bar for first pitch, leading the cheers after a big hit, or hosting meat raffles during the late innings, Bart represents everything that makes Wisconsin dive bars special — community, character, and a whole lot of fun.

Now the official icon of the Lake Country Dive Bars, Bart brings that same larger-than-life energy to the ballpark — cheering loud, keeping the tab open, and reminding fans to settle in for nine innings… just maybe not mention to his wife that he said he’d “only be out for one.” Because in Lake Country lore, what happens at the Dive Bars stays at the Dive Bars.

In Wisconsin, dive bars are more than just places to grab a beer — they’re community landmarks. They’re where neighbors gather, friendships are forged, and stories are shared over a cold one. From corner taverns to lakefront classics, these bars have been the heartbeat of our communities for generations.

That’s why our Wisconsin Dive Bars specialty jerseys feature the names of over 150 local bars from across the state. Each name represents a place that has shaped Wisconsin culture — the bartenders who know your name, the owners who treat regulars like family, and the bar stools that have held generations of stories.
