Luke Roskam signed with the Nebraska Cornhuskers out of high school and first appeared for the program in 2017. As a freshman, he played 42 games and was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team. He reported back home to Minnesota for summer ball in the Northwoods, playing four different positions for the Duluth Huskies. In 2018, he logged a college career-high 46 RBI for Nebraska and played summer ball in the Cape Cod League for the Wareham Gatemen.
His 2019 school season saw him play an additional 46 ballgames with the COVID-19 pandemic cutting his 2020 season short after just 15 games. The 2020 summer season gave him an opportunity back in the Northwoods League for the St. Cloud Rox.
In 2021, he found his groove and earned First Team All-Big Ten honors with a .307 average to pair with nine home runs and 38 RBI.
Roskam went pro after an All-Fayetteville Region Team to end his college career, beginning with the Grand Junction Rockies in Colorado in 2021.
His gritty 69 games and .339 average in independent ball landed him a contract with the Seattle Mariners where he played seven games of rookie ball in the Arizona Complex League before he was released.
He then latched on with a fellow American Association member, the Lincoln Saltdogs, for the 2022 season. After a strong 18 games in 2022, Lincoln held onto him for both the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
Now, he heads from Lincoln to Lake Country for 2025.
