Oconomowoc, WI. – May 27, 2023: Today, the Lake Country DockHounds announced the hiring of the team’s new manager, Ken Huckaby. Huckaby takes over for interim manager, Paul Wagner, who will return to his role as the team’s pitching coach.

Huckaby played six years in Major League Baseball as a catcher, primarily with the Toronto Blue Jays. Since retiring as a player in 2008, Huckaby has spent much of his time coaching with the Blue Jays affiliated teams.

In 2013 he served as the hitting coach for the Bluefield Blue Jays, before moving up to the Lansing Lugnuts. After the Lugnuts removed their manager in 2015, Huckaby was named the team’s manager where he guided them to the Eastern Division Championship Series.

During the 2017 season, Huckaby was elevated to the role of Catching Coordinator for all the Toronto Blue Jay’s minor league affiliates.
