7 Ray Zuberer III

Ray Zuberer III has re-signed with the Lake Country DockHounds for the 2026 season after two successful years in helping lead the DockHounds to Miles Wolff Cup Playoffs. He was the only position player to be on the opening day and postseason rosters each of the last two seasons.
In 2024, he became a DockHound and hit .320 in 67 games for Lake Country, including nine doubles and eight home runs. Following the 2024 season, he headed south to Canberra for winter-ball in Australia, appearing in 13 games and served as the Cavalry’s leadoff hitter en route to winning the Claxton Shield, the ABL’s championship. 2025 was headlined by a 30-game on base streak which Zuberer started at the end of June and ran into August. The primary outfielder stepped up in center for the majority of the season while displaying his versatility by playing four games at second base before settling in as a right fielder.
Growing up in Kentucky, Zuberer was named a co-recipient of the state’s male athlete of the year in 2016. He chose to play his college ball at Western Kentucky for a career in Conference USA where he spent five years. After wrapping up school in 2021, Zuberer thought his playing career was done. An off-chance cage session in front of a local coach impressed enough to get Zuberer into professional baseball, staying in his home state.
Zuberer landed in the Frontier League for 2022 with the Florence Y’alls. He hit .285 for the ‘22 Y’alls before a slight bump to .288 the following year for Florence, logging 181 games over the two seasons in the Frontier League. An .887 OPS in 2023 stood out in the eyes of the DockHounds, warranting a promotion to the American Association and setting the way for what you see at Wisconsin Brewing Company Park.
